Global Seed Grant Program
The Global Seed Grant Program was established to support innovative research and intervention strategies that address sexual and intimate partner violence on college and university campuses, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries. Recognizing that local contexts require locally driven solutions, our program is designed to empower researchers and practitioners within their own communities by providing financial resources, mentorship, and a collaborative platform. This enables researchers to investigate the unique challenges and dynamics of sexual violence in their specific cultural and institutional settings.
While our priority is supporting work in low- and middle-income countries, we are equally committed to fostering safer, more equitable educational environments worldwide. We are actively engaged in projects in the United States and are open to cultivating new partnerships in various regions, including high-income countries. We welcome inquiries from institutions and individuals globally who have ideas for collaboration and are eager to join our efforts in addressing sexual and intimate partner violence in diverse contexts.
Our goal is not only to foster groundbreaking research but also to support the development of practical, culturally relevant interventions that can be implemented directly on campuses. By investing in local expertise, we help build capacity for sustainable change, ensuring that educational environments worldwide become safer and more equitable for all students, faculty, and staff. Through this program, we hope to catalyze new ideas, foster collaboration across borders, and drive meaningful, evidence-based improvements in the way sexual and intimate partner violence is understood, prevented, and responded to within academic institutions.
By cultivating a network of engaged scholars, practitioners, and community members, the Global Seed Grant Program contributes to a global movement towards ending campus-based violence and promoting a culture of respect and dignity in higher education.
